The Story Behind These Panerai Watches

This is an amazing example of a Panerai PAM 785 8 day set, released and sold out in 2014. It features both the Luminor Daylight (white dial) and Black Seal (DLC black case and black dial). Both Panerai watches are in Excellent condition. This Pam 785 Set comes with massive massive pre-Vendome style rectagular box that can hold BOTH watches, instruction manual, parchment Special Edition certificate, individual Hang tags, extra Custom straps with buckles, both bezel protectors, a scale model of the Slow Speed torpedo (SLC, siluro a lenta corsa in Italian), AND a BONUS book on Italian military dive equipment from 1940-1945.

Why I Love This PAM 785 set

This set is the ultimate hommage to the pre-Vendome era of Panerai.  Pre-Vendome is a common collector phrase, meant to symbolize the period of time before The Richemont (previously Vendome) Luxury Group owned the brand.  This set features the original “Slytech” style watches, made for Sylvester Stallone.  These Luminor cased watches in this set feature the in-house manual wind P.5000 8 day power reserve movements since the original Panerai watches were made with manual wind movements.  Fittingly, the Black Seal is referencing the black dial and DLC black case, while the Daylight references the white dial and polished steel case.  Both buckles are finished to match the cases and are made in the pre-Vendome (ie. Richemont) style with oversized tang, logo, and Panerai engraved onto the face.
