MoVas Bronze Diver IV Limited Edition Green 50 Pieces Automatic 45mm 300m Diver

If you have been sitting on the fence, haven’t purchased, been looking or collect Bronze watches, then our Diver IV aka Bronze Diver is the Bronze watch to get. The bronze diver is named Diver IV because it is actually the 4th model in our diver range. 2nd is a new stainless version and 3rd is a titanium version but both of these won’t be released until after the Bronze Diver. Instead of using Bronze from Europe, or risking some other forms of bronze and then having them turn out to be brass instead, we took the initiative to search out actual bronze material manufactured in China and tested it in the lab before we started production. Turns out the bronze we were using was CuSn6, a close relative to CuSn8 which is used in some bigger brand dive watches and heavily used in the marine fittings industry.

The difference between Diver 2/3/4 and Diver 1 is the refinement of the case shape. The lug- main chase junction has been carved out making the case more sculpted. This also makes the watch more comfortable to wear as it does not rest on the wrist bone. The curvature of the case now makes the watch appear more finished and refined. Adding to that is a much lowered bezel, reducing the height of the diver from 17mm to 15mm. This gives more prominence to the dial and makes the watch more wearable under a long sleeve shirt. Crown guard design has been improved and is more integrated to the case. The use of a double dome sapphire gives distortion-less view of the time, and coupled with the colour-less quality of the material really makes the dial and time more legible at all angles.

The dial is a departure from our regular sandwich dial construction but retains the ‘0’ at 12 o’clock. The applied numerals have a rose gold plated rim to match the pinkish gold colour of the CuSn6 Bronze and has hand applied C3 Superluminova Lume for added lume strength. The day/ date discs are now matched to the dial in background colour as well as printing and is run by the customised TY2100 made specially for us by Seagull Watch Co. The movement itself took 2 years to order. Instead of using a swiss made ETA 2824 or a Miyota which is seen in most other watches in this price bracket, we decided to take the bold step of commissioning Seagull Watch Co. to modify one of their standard movements based on our specifications. Day display is kept at 3H, date is moved to 6H and a customised day/ date disc with ’0′ printed for ’1′ on the date and ‘O’ bold filled on MON was done to match our philosophy of the start of the week/ month with the use of ’0′ at 12H on the dial. The Pièce de résistance being the skeleton rotor in CuSn6 Bronze. Something unseen in any other watch (we are claiming to be the first to do so).

The crown and caseback is made from titanium to reduce the chances of any reaction with the material as these are the two areas that are in contact with the skin the most.

Bezel action has been tightened with a new bezel ratchet, while retaining the 120 unidirectional click. A bezel insert is used and can be changed when we release future bezel insert colours. The entire bezel assembly is removable for future servicing or maintenance.

The watch comes supplied with our hypoallergenic anti-static nitrite rubber strap in dark brown and a vintage dark brown buffalo grained leather strap with rose thick stitching and our new tang buckle #03 in matching bronze.

A limited production of 50pc of this design has been produced and each watch is numbered on the etched titanium caseback. A 3mm domed sapphire crystal is used for the caseback to get a view of the bronze rotor.
