I am delighted to announce that the good people at PROMETHEUS Watches have made a special 25 piece edition of the Manta Ray for OceanicTime and its readers.

The stealthy new Manta Ray boasts a Titanium construction with a mid-gloss black DLC coating. The standard version was Stainless steel. I am particularly pleased with the in which way the DLC finish came out. The bezel in particular, looks gorgeous. One of the things that I really like about the Manta Ra is its bezel height.

As with the previous OceanicTime edition, except for a luminous pip at 12, it is without any markings so as to achieve that ever so desirable minimalist look. The glossy black dial, too has minimal text and markings. Just the Prometheus logo at 12 and an OceanicTime diver icon at 6.

The diver is made from the same luminous material as the hands and dial markers, so it glows in the dark! Apart from the DLC coated Titanium case and its various cosmetic enhancements. The watch is the same as the standard Manta Ray. Features include: a Swiss ETA automatic movement, 1000m of waters-resistance and a flat sapphire crystal.

It features a large screw down crown at 4 o’clock and screwed lugs, which measure 22mm. The bezel and lugs both use hex-screws so are particularly easy to use. The case back is very special. It incorporates both the OceancTime divers icon with the standard Manta Ray’s design. So you get the feeling that the diver has been hanging out with a school of mantas that are now swimming off in the distance.

It will come in a PROMETHEUS leather travel box along with a black rubber divers strap with a custom OceanicTime engraved titanium buckle and a black DLC coated steel mesh bracelet. As mentioned earlier, just 25 pieces will be produced.
