The Lamperti & Lancini watch model “Auto Corsa”, dedicated to those who are passionate about racing cars!
This model is entirely inspired (see below) by the famous competition AUTO UNION of the 1930s, when drivers like Nuvolari, Fagioli, Rosemeyer, Muller, Stuck and many others brought these cars to victory, consecrating their glory in history. To reconnect to the system used in that historical period and to identify the various versions of competition cars.
The original crown follows a detail of the special architecture of the front suspension. The lugs also form a part of the carrure, taking up the lightened shapes of the frame crosspieces, passing to the dial, we have the hourly numbering which recalls the graphics of the race numbers painted on the bodywork. the hour hand painted checkered reminds the checkered flag of the race judge, while that of the minutes has the shape of the lightened levers of the pedal, at 6 we have the seconds counter with the colored quarters that exactly recalls the tachometer of this important auto, the strap support bears the same perforated strip for external reinforcement of the bodywork and has engraved the “Type” identification of the various models. The external shape of the strap is inspired by the rubber elements used to close the bonnet, while the central breathable part is perforated with the same shape as the gear selector. The buckle has the same shape and finish as the brake and clutch pedals. I also wanted to create a clock support to be able to store it after use in order to always have it available, for example on a piece of furniture, as if it were a sculpture to be admired, always in sight to please you even without wearing it. The support resembles the engine bench used for the repair or overhaul of those sixteen cylinder jewels. Also for the packaging I deliberately created a wooden crate that refers to the wooden crates used to move overseas racing cars and the crates used for the transfer of engines.
Type-B is a single time with continuous seconds in a counter at 6, equipped with manual ETA 6498 movement.
