Michael Kobold started his company in 1998 with close supervision, advise and help of his mentors – Gerd-Rudiger Lang (founder of Chronoswiss brand) and explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes. His Company prides itself on producing “watches for adventurers, by adventurers.”

Today Kobold cases are manufactured in Lancaster, PA and powered by ETA/Valjoux Swiss made movements and some of the assembly done in Nepal. This model is using original case from ChronoSwiss and has a brand bearing logo on screw-down crown.
