WAFFEN-SS OBSERVATION MILITARY TRENCH WATCH WITH MIRRORED INDICATORS. THE WATCH WORKS, WINDS AND SETS WELL. THE BLACK DIAL AND Gold HANDS AND MARKERS ARE VERY NICE. THE WATCH MEASURES 45MM WIDE INCLUDING CROWN, 50MM LUG TO LUG, AND 10MM THICKNESS. 

 
THIS IS A FACINATING WATCH AND GREAT CONVERSATION PIECE. DON’T MISS THIS CHANCE TO ADD THIS RARE WATCH TO YOUR COLLECTION! There is reverse writing on the dial “for photographic purposes” (the negative of the picture would show the actual seconds when something was timed). There are pictures of a reverse dial being used for timing the burn time of the V-2 rocket. The WSS watches were delivered to the artillery school of the SS , so maybe the dial was used to time artillery trajectory or burn time in seconds of rockets, take a picture for some type of documentation.
I don’t know a whole lot about this Super Cool Timepiece – Came in a large 40 watch Estate collection that I recently purchased…Mechanically & Cosmetically sound – Very Cool Watch!
