Innovative material and functional equipment come as standard with Damasko timepieces. This is demonstrated by the DA3X series. The classic three-hand models are a popular choice in the Damasko watch world. The case and the crown are made of the Damasko patented, ice-hardened stainless steel. The presence of virtues such as low and high-pressure safety and optimal magnetic field protection is a matter of course. The clear visual appearance of the face and the special form of the hands allow precise readability even in adverse conditions – as would be expected of a classic pilot watch.

The DA3X’s bead-blasted case is made from Damakso’s special patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel. This steel offers good corrosion resistance, and can be tempered up to 64 HRC/800Vickers which is four times the hardness of every other steel currently used in the watch industry. And this ice-hardened steel is used for the entire case, bezel and crown.

All stainless steel components are treated with an abrasion-proof black patented DAMEST Coating providing extreme resistance to scratches.

The watch is powered by a 25 jewel Swiss ETA 2836-2 Elabore movement with 38 hour power reserve. This automatic movement is specially regulated and tested by Damasko to high precision. It is shockproof according to DIN 8308 and anti-magnetic according to DIN 8309.

All gaskets used in the case are made from Viton™ which offers a premium chemical resistance and is superior to most other materials used in the watch industry. The case has a screwed case back and is water resistant to 10 bar / 100 meters. It also features curved lugs for a more comfortable fit on various wrist sizes.

A scratch resistant flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment ensures maximum readability of the dial in all lighting conditions. The matte white aviator style dial is entirely coated in luminous material – Luminova™ C1 with black minute indexes. The sword shaped hour and minute hands are also painted black. Another impressive fine detail to the dial is the day/date window which is located at an offset position below 3 o’clock axis and color coded to match the dial color. This ensures maximum visibility of the day/date with minimum visual interference from the hands.

The knurled screw-down crown uses the patented DAMASKO crown system and can be used under water without any problem. The crown is hardened, screwed down and triple-sealed for maximum protection. In its screwed-down state, the setting stem is disengaged from the crown, ensuring that no pressure, impacts or vibrations are passed on to the piece. The patented DAMASKO lubricant cell supports the crown shaft and provides a fine film of lubricant, which lasts for many years.

Every Damasko watch with a solid case back features an important technical detail that is not obviously visible yet has a major effect on its accuracy under harsh conditions – the integrated anti-magnetic cage. Very few mechanical watches are equipped with this feature. The inner anti-magnetic cage provides anti-magnetic protection to 80,000 A/m or 100 mT.

A very comfortable black leather strap with contrast stitching and a signed bead-blasted buckle is included with the watch.
