There’s something about ’60s-influenced watches like the C65 Trident 316L that’s irresistible. Marking the midpoint between the watches of the past and the tech-heavy timepieces of today, its clean lines and subtle design means it’ll look on-point wherever, whenever.
Then there’s that golden, yellow dial. With oversized numerals at 6 and 12, this is a dial that’s there to be noticed. The retro feel continues with a curved ‘glassbox’ crystal and baton-shaped hands filled with Old Radium Super-LumiNova®.
In terms of construction, its 316L stainless steel case means it can withstand the hardest of knocks, while the 41mm diameter will suit every size of wrist. And with only 316 produced, its rarity is part of its appeal, too.
At only 3.35mm high, the Sellita SW210-1 shares many of the same components as its self-winding cousin, the Sellita SW200-1. A frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that’s eight ticks a second) delivers 42 hours of continuous, accurate timekeeping once fully wound.
Significantly, the movement has been decorated with the distinctive Côtes de Genève pattern. It’s a feature that few will ever see but remains indicative of the commitment to detail that marks CW out.
