Born in the 1980s during a mass evolution of the Breitling’s catalogue, the classic Colt collection, like many of the brand’s watches, finds its origins in the armed forces. Specially developed for military use, and as such featuring a no-nonsense, highly durable form and supremely legibly style, the Colt quickly found fans far outside servicemen and women in a broad consumer base looking for a sturdy watch that was ready for anything.

Over the years, the Colt and its many iterations found itself as the entry-level point for the Breitling catalogue, with it developing an esteemed renown for its understated looks and incredible reliability. Over this period, the Colt has helped introduce generations of enthusiasts to the watchmaker’s famed and iconic designs, many of which without the help of the Colt may never have even heard of iconic styles like the Navitimer, Chronomat, or SuperOcean.

The Colt is an important and relevant model from the Breitling catalog, with this A32350 offering quintessential Breitling DNA that has maintained the brand’s dominance in the watch industry. Measuring 40.5mm in width, this polished steel case is versatile in its size and finish with classic curved lugs providing additional hugging once fitted to the wrist. With a brushed bezel on top also finished in steel with rider tabs to aid in rotation and brand recognition, it’s clear this watch has an appearance that is rooted in practicality. 

The dial sees a continuation of this theme with its highly contrasted dial, large dial furniture, and bold character. Setting the stage is a concentric circle pattern spanning the whole area of this Breitling dial, instantly adding tons of depth. Its larger-than-life Arabic numerals are fully polished and surround the coherent dial, with neat lume plots in line with each marker within a railroad track. A 24-hour scale has made its way into many Breitling dials, and here we see it towards the center of the dial, in a contrast friendly white printing. A handy date at three o’clock with a polished surround, paired with a red-tipped seconds hand, means glances to the wrist for the time or date instantly provides the wearer with the required information. A small but mighty arrow-tipped GMT is the fourth addition to the handset at the perfect length to line up with the aforementioned 24-hour scale. 

There is zero concern of accuracy or reliability either, as this watch has a rock-solid Breitling B32 beating away inside it with COSC certification for good measure. 

A very nice example with gorgeous Blue Dial. This watch is just back from being serviced at Breitling May 10, 2022! Under Breitling warranty until May 10, 2023! This Beauty comes with the Breitling box set, all service paperwork and instruction manual. The bracelet will fit up to a 7.5 inch wrist.
