The Fireman Night Train DLC Ref. NM2092C-P-BK is powered by the Ball RR1103 automatic movement, which is a ETA 2824-2. Ball puts an emphasis on accuracy under adverse conditions. The Fireman is ISO1413 certified to withstand up to 5,000g of shock resistance.

The Fireman Night Train DLC has a unique case design that is synonymous with other models from the Fireman classic collection that is an evolution of Ball watches from the past. Measuring 45 x 11.65mm the stainless steel body has been DLC treated and has a robust feel and weight that is meant to make it more of daily wear. The multi-piece case of the Fireman Night Train DLC has been treated with DLC (diamond like carbon) to give it a understated black finishing. What esentially DLC does is to cover the stainless steel case with a DLC treatment to strengthen the case making it more resistant to daily scratches. The sapphire crystal attached to it is treated to anti-reflective coating.

The 21mm lugs are contoured for a comfortable fit. The screwdown crown at 3 is engraved with Ball’s “RR” logo. Making this a good 100m water resistant, good enough for everyday wear.

The Fireman Night Train DLC has a clean no nonsense matte black dial. One of the unique aspects of this Fireman Night Train DLC is their excessive use of tritium gas tubes.

If you look closely at this dial there’s a lot going on. Unlike other Ball watches the Fireman Night Train DLC has tubes recessed into the dial, not just attached on top. This creates a much cleaner look. For a comparison, have a look at the tubes attached to the hands, which sit much higher. The Night Train DLC hasa total of 75 tritium tubes, comprising the hour and minute markers, as well as one for each of the three hands. This makes it the Ball watch with the most tritium tubes and is a Christmas decoration in the dark. A definite must for lume junkies. Thanks to the difference in luminous color, orientation is easy and makes time reading in the dark easy.
